Maxwell Ukpebor (FCTI, ACIArb UK, BL, LLB)
Maxwell Ukpebor is a partner in the firm and works in our Commercial Law Practice Group. He has extensive experience in general corporate and commercial law, oil and gas and tax litigation.
Maxwell has also worked for a number of clients in the oil and gas, banking and finance sectors. He is the lead counsel on all our tax appeals. He is an expert in corporate/commercial law and tax litigations and has won landmark cases involving complex tax issues.
He is a fellow the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK (Nigerian Branch). He is also a member of the Legal Writing Institute (LWI). He is the founder/editor in chief of Tax Law Report of Nigeria (TLRN) and Tax Journal of Nigeria (TLJN). He is also the founder and coordinator of Tax Masters, a tax training institute dedicated to developing tax practitioners in Nigeria.
Maxwell was in the law firm of Paul Usoro & Co. where he was the head of Communication Law Unit, before joining ATL in 2005.
